Gaming For Good: Kayla Sween

Meet Batson Extra-Lifer Kayla Sween and learn why she is Gaming for Good

That little guy in the picture to the left standing next to me is the reason I’m doing this. At the age of four, my little brother, Matt, was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM). Over the next few years, he went through a biopsy, getting a chemoport (which is what they give cancer patients to easily administer chemotherapy), weekly steroid treatments, and a ridiculous number of doctor visits. Today, with the help of the Blair E. Batson Children’s hospital, Matt is a healthy, normal 11 year old. I’m thankful Extra Life has given me an opportunity to give something back to Blair E. Batson, even though no amount of money could ever show them how thankful my family and I are.
